CONTRARY TO RUMOR,
I’M WONDERFULLY MADE

No matter my name,
My gender, my aim,
Though I have no fame, I’m wonderfully made.
No matter my race,
Or location of my space,
Speed or not in my pace, I’m wonderfully made.
No, my body’s not thin.
No, my style is not “in”.
Nope, the King ain’t my kin.
But yes, yes, yes, I’m wonderfully made.
When I have no money,
My mood is not sunny,
My jokes are not funny,
I could care less because I’m still wonderful.
Whether passed or failed,
Enthroned or jailed,
Ostracized or hailed, I’m wonderfully made.
Age young, age old,
Demeanor timid, demeanor bold,
Story hidden, story told,
There’s something wonderful within me.
Good, bad or rough,
Strong, tender or tough,
I am quite enough.
I AM AND YOU ARE
Wonderfully made.
